







The village with 876 inhabitants is situated in the eastern part of Pohronska pahorkatina, 7 km from Podhajska in the eastern direction. The earliest written reference to the village formation dates from 1269 when the village was called Baracha. When you visit the village, you can see many monuments, such as a manor house in neobaroque style with the area of 3.77 ha. The summer mansion and its area are decorated by approximately 600-year-old Planetree and Pagoda tree. Nowadays the village is focused on the utilization of geothermal water from the Thethys Ocean from the Tertiary period for recreation Aqua Thethys, oceanium,chalky salt cascades.
