The first written record about the municipality Skaros comes from 1270.
You can see the mansion of the family Fekete from 1900 when visiting the municipality, ruins of castle located on Vár Hill, the monument with open-air museum of weapons. There are 4 state nature preserves within the municipality cadastre - the islands of virgin nature. The countryside environment on the west slopes of Slanské Mountains invites not only for wanderings, but also for the aim to develop its potential - bike routes in direction to Hungary.
