







It is one of the biggest villages in the wider region of Zemplin by its number of inhabitants – 3355.
The first written record comes from 1451. The Sacrosant Heart of Jesus Roman-Catholic Church from 1912 is located in the village. It was rebuilt in years 1962 – 64 despite the rule of communism. The village organizes each year the Carter’s race and on the first Sunday of September the Harvest-Home Festivities, a positively welcomed event. In the village vicinity there are the tourist attractive spots – Sninský kameň and Morské oko. (The Snina Stone and The See Eye). The Motor Camp and the Pension Starý Mlyn provide the alimentation and the accommodation.
