







The village is represented by the folklore women choir Novičianka, the kinder folklore group Pramienok.
The fi rst written record of the village Nová Dedina comes from 1075. In 1960 the village Tekovská Nová Ves and Opatová merged, to which in 1974 Gondovo was joined. In the part Gondovo there is the new Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. In Tekovská Nová Ves there is the Church of St. Paul’s Conversion. The village attraction is also the wooden bell-house, the Cenotaph and the chapel on the local cemetery. Here we can also fi nd the St. Cyril and Method Chapel, the bell-house on Kamenec and the St. Urban Chapel.
