OBEC HODRUŠA - HÁMRE

The first written record of Banská Hodruša comes from 1352. The village was founded by joining of three villages: Dolné Hámre, Banská Hodruša and Kopanice in 1971. Since the 16th century the artifi cial lakes were built up for requirements of mining, so called „tajchy“ (artifi cial lakes) that are thy typical feature of Banská Hodruša and Kopanice. The “Cultural and Sport Summer” and various concerts take part here annually. The children ensemble ÚSMEV already exists for 45 years here, the mixed choir SENIOR and the choir of women from Banská Hodruša,.Lately the village has built interesting biking routes named “By a bike to the tajchs”.
