OBEC BERTOTOVCE

A charming village not far from the mountain range Branisko.
Bertotovce is located 18 km in south-west direction from Prešov and 13 km southwards from Sabinov. In the village vicinity there is a known holiday resort Lipovce. The Creek Veľká Svinka fl ows through the village. The fi rst written record of the village comes from 1320. The Roman-Catholic Church devoted to the honour of St. Martin was built on 1865. Today, 500 inhabitants live in the village. The men’s folklore group Brežina has its place of work here. The village has the elementary school and kindergarten and is under great boom now.
