







The village Kostolné Kračany is located in the centre of Žitný ostrov (the Rye Island). It consists of six municipal parts: Kostolné, Pinkové, Šipošovské, Amadeho Kračany, Kyncelové and Moravské Kračany. The first written mention of village comes from the 11th century. The St. Bartholomew Roman-Catholic Church with classicistic and baroque elements bas built in 1820. At the entry into the church area there is the Cenotaph devoted to victims from the II. World War. The manor built in the 19th century was demolished in 2006 and newly built in 2007, and it became a dominant of the village. It serves and the council-house, with residence of municipal office, a modern House of Culture, the Pensioner’s Club and the Municipal Library.
