







The village in the Zahorie Region with a breakneck name in district Skalica.
The village was founded by joining of two separate villages – Mocidlany a Popudiny in 1958. Popudiny is already mentioned for the fi rst time in 1392. The village was a property of the Castle Branc and then it belonged to the manor Sastin and Holic. Mocidlany is also mentioned in 1392. It belonged to the manor Holic, the Jesuits of Skalica and then to the House of Habsburg. Nowadays, the village has 920 inhabitants. It lies on the connection line of two towns of the Zahorie Region – Holic and Senica, at the road I/51.
