







Ruzomberok is the town with rich history and modern developing presence.
It is an administrative centre of lower part of Liptov region. Ruzomberok was founded in the 13th century. The town is rich in national and cultural landmarks. The historical memorial of the town quiet zone is the Andrej Hlinka Culture House, bearing its name after a priest A. Hlinka. It is impossible to forget on the Liptov Museum and the Gallery of Ludovit Fulla, an artist and designer of world prestige. Ruzomberok provides excellent conditions for development of tourist traffic. The largest centre of winter sports is the Ski Park interconnected with downhill slopes and mountain transport means. The cable lift connects Hrabovo with the main part of ski centre Malino Brdo. It is located in the 930 - 1,209 m altitude. Vlkolinec is a distinctive village, which thanks to its unique of folk architecture has been registered on December 11, 1993 into the UNESCO list of the world cultural heritage. 12 km eastwards from Ruzomberok lies the village Besenova, where the known thermal swimming pool is located with attractive open air swimming both in summer and winter season.
