







Púchov lies within picturesque middle course of Váh River, at the boundary-line of Biele Karpaty, Javorníky and Strážovské Vrchy Mountains.
The history registered Púchov in writing for the first time in 1243. As to the historical monuments, the Regional House has been preserved, the seat of the Púchov Culture Museum and the municipal ceremonial and representative spaces are situated here. The most important cultural monuments in the town are two Catholic Church and one evangelist church. The commemorative rectory relates directly to two celebrities - Vladimír Roy and John Amos Comenius. The most visiting events are the Folklore Púchov, the Púchov Market and the Nicholas Market. The pedestrian zone was built in 2006. It is attractive by the footpath fountain made in style of historical sight from the Púchov rock.
