







The Bojnice Castle - the most beautiful historical monument in the Slovakia.
The first written mention confirming its existence from 1113 is recorded in the famous Zobor‘s Deed. The Slovak National Museum - the Bojnice Museum has its seat here. The collection fund of the museum includes the painter‘s, the sculptural and the art-historical works from the period of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism and Neo-styles of the 19th century. The Bojnice Altar (the 14th century) is the most important exhibit from the collection of the count Ján František Pálffy. The natural cave located right in the travertine rock below the castle is an attraction. The castle is surrounded with the moat and the park, where the famous venerable Lime of King Mathew, which is above 700-years old. The attention of visitors is encouraged not only by castle architectonical beauty and richly decorated interiors, but also the attractive events, the valuable exhibitions and the concerts of classic music during the summer season.
