







It is located on the south slopes of Kysucke Mountains.
The village is mentioned for the first time in 1384. It belonged to the yeoman family of Nedecky, later on to its domain the part of Old Castle. The village inhabitants dealt in agriculture and stock-raising. The remains of renaissance manor-house from the half of the 16th cen- tury, the classicistic mansions from the 1st half of the 19th century and the bell-house from the 19th century were preserved in the village. In front of the manor-house that be- longed to the Family Pongracz there is the baroque stone statue of St. Jan Nepomucky. At present the village inhabitants work in the industrial factories in the surrounding.
