







The village is known as the most signifi cant pilgrimage place in the Zemplin region and the centre of tourist traffic.
It lies on the north border of Michalovce district. The fi rst written record comes from 1358. The protected monument - the Greco-Catholic Temple built on 1835 is devoted to the Holiest Mother Decease and the watery icon is deposited here. The village cadastral area includes three holiday resorts: Palkov, part of Kamenec and Klokocov, where also the new pool for nonswimmers, camping site, sport grounds and buffets are located. The surrounding offers many tourist and cultural attractions.
