It is located below deep forest of Protected Landscape Area „Horná Orava“, close to the Pilsko Mount.
The village includes three protected landscape areas: The National Nature Preserve Pilsko, Spálený Grúnik and Mútnanská píla. The church built in 1876 and dedicated to St. Maria Magdalene is situated in the village. The extensive Harvest Festival is celebrated here annually at the end of August.
