OBEC ČEČEJOVCE

The village is situated 22 km to the south west of Košice in the Košice Basin.
The first written record of the village with 2023 inhabitans comes from 1317. The early Gothic stone church of the ReformedChurch from the 13th century is decorated with wall paintings from the beginning of the 14th century. The Roman Catholic church from 1800 was rebuilt after the fire in 1949. The Szirmay’s manor house built in the classical style in the 18th century is under reconstruction. The Memorial of the victims of WW I and WW II with St. Stephen’s Crown on it and the Monument of the 3rd Millennium is just opposite. The gate to the cemetery built in 2003 is worth seeing for its remarkable design.
