OBEC ČAŇA

The first written record of Čaňa comes from 1164.
The Village Čaňa is an advanced central municipality in the Micro-Region Hornád, that lies in the south part of the Košice Hollow. It has more than 5,120 inhabitants. In the surrounding the relicts from the older stone age were discovered and the large burial-ground from the older Bronze Age. A native of this village is a great Slovak poet Pavol Horov. In the village surrounding there are the lakes providing the options for fi shing, accommodation, tourism, development of sport and the most famous one is the Lake TAJVAN.
