Turčianske Teplice – A Paradise for Balneology and Tourism
It belongs to the oldest spa towns in Slovakia (the written record comes from 1281). It is located within charming natural scenery up upper Turiec Region, at the foot of Velká Fatra Mountain range. This mountain offers plenty of precious matters, especially the unique Gaderská Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in Slovakia. The surrounding countryside and mountainous feature provide for excellent conditions for tourism and mountain biking. The town became known and visited preferably due to bath-resort located in its territory, in the town centre. Their hot curative springs reach the temperature of 40-47 °C and also by their contribution, the diseases of kidney and urinary tracts; the locomotive organs diseases as well as the gynaecological diseases are treated here. Nowadays, the modernized baths use increasingly also wellness, relax and entertainment for any age categories particularly thanks to newly opened SPA & AQUAPARK (in 2007).
